London is a city that's no stranger to breathing new life into old spaces. Sewers become public parks, former theatres become Wetherspoons, and occasionally, a loo becomes a coffee shop.

Tucked beneath the streets of Central London is one of the city's quirkiest cafes that's serving hand-roasted, small-batch coffee inside of a former Victorian toilet. You're probably used to nipping into a cafe to use the toilet, but what about nipping into the toilet to use the cafe?

Everything To Know About Attendant Coffee: London's Cafe Inside A Former Victorian Toilet

What Is Attendant Coffee?

Attendant Coffee is a coffee chain with five locations throughout London. Their original and most distinctive location is in Fitzrovia, located a few steps underground inside what was once a gent's loo.

Paying homage to its heritage, the cafe features a design that's somewhat reminiscent of a toilet, with porcelain dividers, and even some of the original items: the urinals were repurposed into a coffee bench, and the bathroom tiles still remain intact.
