All-In Kitchen raises the stakes in Hackney

Consider yourself as somebody who keeps their cool at the poker table when all else are losing theirs? Forget 007-styled casinos where you’ll need to take out a mortgage just to buy in, PokerStars and Jones & Sons are all set to raise the stakes further by bringing the World’s first 'pay-by-poker restaurant' to Hackney’s Acton Mews.

Talk about a unique pop-up; you'll still bag a bargain even if your poker skills are hopeless.

It’s all a bit of fun and no money will actually change hands, instead you’ll be playing to chalk money off your dinner tab. You’ll start out with 10,000 chips, before being invited to take your seat at the table to negotiate your way through three hands of poker. Successfully bluff, call and scoop your way through with more chips than you started to earn yourself a free meal, end up with between 5,000 and 10,000 to pay a fiver, or dip below 5,000 and you’ll be asked to shell out £10. Considering the overall value of the meal is £50, you’ll bag yourself a bargain even if you get utterly thrashed.

Once you’re done pretending you know what you’re doing at the poker table, it’s over to the dinner table where you’ll be treated to a neat choice of poker-themed dishes, washed down with similarly inspired cocktails.

The All-In Kitchen will run at Arches 339-340, Acton Mews, E8 4EA between 19th and 21st January. Tickets were free, but are unfortunately sold out.
