In 1999 The Social opened in Little Portland Street. The brainchild of a record company whose offshoots included a hugely successful underground club night, The Social was set up with a simple manifesto – to provide great music and better booze to anyone who fancied tripping through the doors. Description
*Early Bird Ticket (Entry + Complimentary bottled beer or glass of wine)*
Minutes from Oxford Circus, Vesuvio is the new weekly taking over the Social every Friday night. It's set to give you everything you need to kick off the weekend, namely hype tunes and good times.
In the basement the resident selectors drop hip hop and RnB bangers (think Fetty x RiRi x Drizzy x Skepta), house and garage, dancehall hits and more, whilst upstairs is all about seven inch soul, reggae, funk, disco, rock n roll . . Social Classics. There are booths for chatting and dancefloor space for dabbing / whipping / nae-naeing . . you get the picture.
The Social has been an oasis in a too dry central London for getting on for 20 years now, and Vesuvio is everything it's ever loved rolled into one big ball of like.
It’s the new (old) spot for that afterwork drink and shuffle, a beer in a booth with mates or late night dancefloor tear up.
Pass through, get happy x
