Watson received a guitar shortly after his sixteenth birthday and quickly became highly proficient after teaching himself through relentless practice. He began uploading live vids on to YouTube in 2010 and attracted a great deal of attention with his cover of Bombay Bicycle Club's song Swansea.

His channel continues to attract widespread attention through online videos with a channel that now boasts over 87,600 subscribers.

In 2012 Watson made his first record release with the EP entitled It’s Got Four Sad Songs On It BTW.

“I set the songs on that EP out like a story. What About Today was about quite a rubbish situation where I was being used, and that was the tale of the end of a relationship; 'Windows' was looking back after the relationship ended; 'Bones' is about meeting someone new; and 'Nothing' is about being happy with that person.”

The successful release would be followed by subsequent EPs Another Four Sad Songs, The Wild, Four More Songs and Some Songs With Some Friends. His debut album This Morning was released in 2014.

Now, he releases his highly anticipated debut album Midnight which he recorded in a mere three weeks last summer at The Vale in Warwickshire.

“It was crucial for me that these songs sounded exactly as I imagined them. I didn’t want any outside input. In the past, I’ve been forced to write with people I didn’t know and work with producers I had nothing in common with. I’m still incredibly proud of The Morning. It will always be special because it’s my debut, but it was a bit of a Frankenstein. The songs were recorded with a half a dozen producers in six or seven studios over the course of two years. We made Midnight in a bubble, so it’s much more coherent. Every track has my stamp on every aspect. It’s a snapshot of where and who I am right now.”
