The Gable Bar

The Gable Bar in Moorgate is a long and spacious bar that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner; with a chic industrial interior they also have an equally large Cellar Bar downstairs in the basement. With a professional office-based clientele of all ages their busiest time is really for after work drinks where their bar nibbles really do get rave reviews. Thursday and Friday they are open till 1am and 3am respectively , which allows the Moorgate office crowd to enjoy The Gable’s friendly and laidback atmosphere into the early hours.

During the bar's happy hour, you’ll struggle to find a cheaper drink in Moorgate. Owned by the Balls Brothers group, with their reputation for fantastic wine, it is clearly no surprise that their wine list is bountiful and spot on; they offer fine wines for all tastes and budgets. Lager is also a big seller in The Gable with a range of Beck’s Vier, Staropramen and Franziskaner from the renowned Spaten Brewery in Munch. The only real ale on handpump is Adnam’s Southwold but it’s fresh and well-kept.
