Haven't heard of Kricket? Most Londoners and lovers of modern Indian fare will know this Soho beauty as the restaurant from duo Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell, serving up mouthwatering plates and intriguing cocktails from an intimate plot. This September, the pair are going one step further to grace us with SOMA; their latest concept situated adjacent to the Denman Street eatery.
The subterranean spot will be a haven for you late-night drinkers, staying open until 3am from Tuesdays to Saturdays. Think indigo walls, orange sofas and minimalist decor styled by architecture and design pros Bureau Cake alongside interior designer Max Radford. Perfect for romantic date nights and hushed catch-ups, the small space will have room for just 23 imbibers.
In terms of the menu itself, you can expect the same South Asian influences found at Kricket, with drinks like pickled mooli martinis and a gooseberry chaat margarita. The one we can't wait to taste? The coconut and jaggery old fashioned; stirring bourbon, jaggery, toasted coconut and mace bitters into an intriguing mix.
