The creative and quirky Fika, Swedish bar & kitchen is doing it again.

Two years ago it was the Wes Anderson theme, last year it was Hidden Folk.

This year it is transforming the tranquil roof terrace and ground floor into a buzzing and vibrant crayfish festival to last almost three weeks!

Crayfish parties, or kräftskiva in Swedish, are a tradition not to be missed.

Long sharingtables outdoor and indoor with an endless amount of crayfish, herring, gravadlax, chickenliver pate, bread and cheeses. Huge jars of crayfish filled and re filled to the top, Swedish beer bottles of snaps passing around for a traditional “skål!” with friends and family.

For those who dare go all the way, there will be the traditional party hats, the snaps songsand of course a large variety of snaps to choose from.

All this and so much more will behappening at Fika between July 30th and August 16th.

No need for a flight ticket, step in,into a Swedish summer! Fika will be serving fresh and tasty seafood accompanied with intriguing tinctures. It is amomentary journey, away from the hipsters of the East, all the way across the North Sea. If only for a few hours.

For a set price of £35 each guest will enjoy all you can eat crayfish, bread & butter, herring and gravadlax for a 2 hour sitting. Drinks are not included.

Special diets can be accommodated upon requests minimum 48h in advance. Both walk-ins and bookings will be available.

Food was amazing. Lovely space too with great ambience. Sits were uncomfortable though and it was a bit odd nothing was provided to wash your hands during/after eating a lot of shellfish. We also left before desert after waiting for quite a long time for anyone to serve us. Otherwise all good.

Really good fun and very tasty indeed. I especially enjoyed the mussels. The terrace is super cosy and cute and the atmosphere and staff were great. However it was a but on the pricey side.

Great evening and very nice tasting food! The crayfish tasted like it normally does in Sweden and that was a great plus! We had a really nice time sitting on the terrace.

Really fun night - delicious food, cute shabby-chic style ambience and friendly staff. 'Festival' may be slightly exaggerating the event but it was highly enjoyable none-the-less! The salmon gravadlax on potato blinis were particularly delicious.

What's not to like. Got together with a few friends and loved the all you can eat crayfish, mussels, bread, salmon and herring, all delicious. Very authentic and loads of fun. Sat on terrace and had great weather which obviously made it even better!! Happy schnapps and prosecco drinking!!!!

This place is a little gem, fuelled by the passion of the owner. Having been lucky enough to go to the press night for the festival, I can categorically say this is a fantastic night out and everything is delicious. Be prepare for death by protein!
