Have you tried Scapegrace? If you haven't...this is your opportunity!
Who are they?
Two guys from New Zealand who didn’t know each other until one married the other's sister and then they did. A year sitting in bars and lounges discussing how they always wanted to make their own gin. This is how two brothers-in-law and a part-time musician got into a lot of debt and created a gin that won gold in London and San Francisco.
Scapegrace Gin is produced in a 19th century John Dore copper pot still. Its recipe calls for a selection of 12 botanicals, which includes juniper, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice. It comes presented in a rather striking bottle inspired by an antique genever bottle - a little nod to the spirit's long and storied history. Also, it looks awesome. Both are good reasons. "Scapegrace" is another name for a rogue or scoundrel, in case you were wondering.
