Oh! Happy days! If you want to feel like a natural woman, if you want to know what R-E-S-P-E-C-T means to me, then you better do right and get down for this special live rendition of Aretha Franklin‘s greatest hits.
Over an extraordinary 60+ year career, Aretha has compiled an astonishing body of work, and her 18 Grammy awards are testament to her talent. We'll be celebrating 50 years since the release of one of her greatest albums: 'Lady Soul'.
Our incredible resident band will reel off all the hits from this special album with a live performance. With her amazingly warm and vibrant vocals, as well as her exceptional song-writing and ability to perform, Aretha quite possibly defined soul music with the release of 'Lady Soul'. This 10-track album, which includes the famous anthems 'Chain of Fools' and '(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman', surely represents her coronation as the Queen of Soul.
At 1.15 the late set will be played by The Beekays, the hardest hitting soul band within these shores, playing only the finest of Stax & Atlantic Soul.
Resident DJs will have you dancing in between bands to the very best of blues, funk, soul and rock 'n' roll.
