Jess Davies Band

And then there were three .. Although recently formed, the Jess Davies Band (JDB) has established itself in the south coast playing contemporary country & americana. Not your typical band line-up nor musical arrangement - we are an acoustic guitar-bass-string-vocal powered trio happy to play your front room, or amp up the local halls . We may not wear the boots, but we can walk the talk and we lurve to play the toons.

SJ Mortimer

SJ is a country singer songwriter from Cambridge. Since recording her debut solo album 'Nashville Sessions' in 2014 in Tennessee; SJ (nicknamed "Stevie Ray Nicks") has been gigging frequently across the UK and even performed in Europe and China. 
Through the Cambridge live music scene she has developed her own backing band - The Flying Pigs! Named after the prestigious pub The Flying Pig, where the band joined forces; SJ lead vocals and guitar, Kieran Morgan on banjo, Nicky Terry on fiddle, Ian Griffith on drums, Oli Steggles on slide guitar and Joe Taylor on bass. The band headlined the Den stage at Cambridge Folk Festival 2016. With their fresh new country roots sound, this soulful band are
quickly taking Cambridge by storm!

Abi Bridgeman

Abi is a Brit Country Rock singer-songwriter who combines country with a classic British guitar backbone to create a unique modern sound.

Music has always been the compass in Abi's life and has taken her from performing for the Queen of England to playing CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.

Abi is currently recording her upcoming album but as much as she loves the music studio, the stage is her home.

Larissa Eddie

A high-energy singer-songwriter, BIMM Brighton graduate Larissa has seen her talents take her to spots on Channel 4’s T4 slot, including the Hollyoaks Music Show, and to stages shared with the likes of The Saturdays, Natasha Bedingfield and McFly. She’s supported Matt Cardle and Pete Tong, and performed on the ‘Emerging Icons’ stage at the London 2012 Olympics, while her ongoing gig schedule sees her regularly travelling around the world.

Jeannine Barry

Jeannine Barry is a British Country/Pop artist with a fresh, unique sound. She has released 3 EP’s so far, the latest of which is titled ‘Bittersweet’, and reached #3 in the UK iTunes charts upon release. She recorded her EP 'Off The Hook’ in Nashville with an array of Nashville's finest musicians and has played London’s top venues. Most recently she headlined the launch party of UK’s biggest Country Music festival ‘Country2Country’.

 Laura Oakes

From Liverpool, via Leeds, Laura grew up in a musical family admiring the likes of Dolly Parton, David Gates and The Dixie chicks. It was only right that Laura would then visit Nashville for her 18th birthday and follow up by studying music at university. Once graduated with a band behind her and several releases under her belt, interest has begun from key taste makers including Bob Harris and Paul Sexton (BBC Radio 2), BBC Introducing, Chris Country and Baylen Leonard (BBC Radio 2 and Amazing Radio).

Crowned for the second year running as Best Female Vocalist’at the BCMAs proves that Laura Oakes is at home in the country world. Bringing her distinctive, catchy country pop songs to the mainstream you may have seen her supporting the likes of Ward Thomas and The Shires. With previous slots at C2C, BluesFest and a sell out at Nashville Nights her show is something to behold. Make sure you catch her this summer in the fields of Camp Bestival, Cornbury, Buckle & Boots or Cottingham Folk Festival.
