Wild & Irish – Glendalough Wild Botanical Gin

The Glendalough Distillery was set up by five friends from Wicklow and Dublin with a deep passion for reviving the heritage of craft distilling in Ireland. In the 18th and 19th centuries there were over 200 licensed distilleries in Ireland who, along with countless unlicensed ones, produced diverse styles of poitín, whiskey, gin and even absinthe. Until recently that dropped to a small handful. Glendalough Distillery is now part of a revival of this heritage. The idea behind Glendalough Distillery is to make innovative spirits while staying true to the tradition and heritage of our ancestors. Initially they started with the first ever spirit, poitín, and since then have moved to whiskey and most recently the release of their seasonal, wild botanical gins.

Negroni Week Special with Campari

The Negroni is in the ascendance. Previously the cocktail of choice for bartenders, cognoscenti and Italians of all ages, the Negroni is fast usurping the Mojito and the Old Fashioned as the modern drinker’s beverage for any time of day. As part of Negroni Week, we have one of Campari’s experts who will explore the origins and take you through the ancestry of this complex and flavourful drink from its birth as the tipple of an Italian playboy Count. As well as constructing the DNA of the ingredients, we’ll teach you how to make the perfect Negroni, and invite you to taste a range of our creations inspired by this legendary libation.

1800 Ways to Enjoy Tequila

1800 100% agave tequila follows traditional production methods dating back to the origin of aged tequila over 200 years ago. The packaging for 1800 Tequila is an iconic trapezoidal shape, reminiscent of the centuries-old Mayan stone pyramids found throughout Mexico and dressed with a crest. “Trabajo, Passion, Honestidad” (“Work,” “Passion,” “Honesty”) is displayed on the crest, signifying the honour and tradition that go into the process of crafting this historically rich tequila. As well as the usual cleverly concocted range of drinks, Brand ambassador Oliver Pergl will guide you through the history and liquids of 1800, created using hand-selected agaves and only the finest of oak barrels.
