The Church no longer runs at The Grand.

The Church Club in London is a goofy Sunday party by Clapham Common for those who prefer a Sabbath of fancy dress and wild dancing to classic party tunes. This Kiwi run club is open noon - 4pm which might shock some but once you're among the hundreds of worshipers it will slip your mind and on a sunny day this means that their outside smoking area is delightful. The main mission at the Church Club is simply to have lots of fun and the huge dance floor and optional fancy dress are great lubricators for social interaction. The atmosphere is friendly and the music is pretty cheesy, but people do get competitive trying to win the weekly contest for "best costume". Each week features a strip show performance.

When the Church Club closes at 4pm many pilgrim their way to Aussie themed bar Walkabout by Shepard's Bush to make sure they milk the very last of the weekend. Tickets to the Church Club in London are cheaper to buy in advance or if you arrive before 1pm: £7 if you buy them here. £9 at the door, if available. Bank Holidays and Special Events: £12 in advance online; £15 on the door. Beer tickets are bought for speedier service: £3.50 for a drink or £10 for three which leaves more time for you to go bananas at the Church Club by Clapham Common.
