Given its location in the heart of the City of London, The Gable close to Moorgate, is hugely popular with its quirky and stylish decor and a fun-time party atmosphere. Whether its eating, catch up drinks or partying on a school night, The Gable is a great choice for a bar in the City.

Spread over two levels, the bar has a relaxed upper floor serving up dinners of traditional British pub fare such as sausages and mash at £9.50, along with more interesting additions such as their Slow Roasted Pork Belly for £14.00. The 'long bar' means service is quick and efficient making it one of the best for after work drinks if you don't fancy waiting an age to get served in the rush hour drinks period and on top of that there's a happy hour running every weekday from 5-8pm, so you can still grab a bargain.

Downstairs, the cellar has been transformed into a red-lit London themed club with plush leather furnishings, disco balls and live music every friday, followed by a DJ taking you through to 3am. Cheap and cheerful and even home to a Nintendo Wii to let off some steam on, the Gable is one of the most fun bars in London to spent your workday evenings.

Had a private event here for 150 people. The service was fantastic, food was plentiful and delicious and the music was good. Photo booth was offered but kept breaking but otherwise drinks were great and the house band were fantastic!

Amazing place to chill and relax with your mates. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and chilled night out. The prices weren't too bad and the staff were nice aswell.

Great and lively ambience in both restaurant and basement area. However, the basement area became to stuffy and hot, making it quite difficult to breathe properly. On the bright side, there is an ample selection of cocktails and wine choices for the night.

Great place to go to after work. Always really lively and the happy hour means all the drinks are dirt cheap and they're open late Thurs and Fri. I've been in for lunch a few times too and the food is good too.
