C&B Lime Street is a great spot for City drinking, watching live sport and long lunches.
This is a place where the traditional 'long lunch' is still very much alive and well. With dark and expensive decor, this bar screams money and expense; a turn away from the doom and gloom that harbours some corners of London, this bar is a long look back to the times when champagne flowed freely in the bars of the city. It's a great spot for watching sport on the big screen so book a table as this place packs out.
With a wine list which is well-crafted as well as being high-calibre, the bar staff are also always keen to recommend a good wine for a meal or occasion and it is also nice to see that they avoid the usual pretention that comes with being a purveyor of fine wine. Overall Corney and Barrow Lime Street is a great combination of opulence and pragmatism, offering customers style and substance in tandem, a real rarity. Highly recommended if you fancy a good drink in a lovely setting.
