JOURNEY TO BORDEAUX WITH OUR TANTALISING NEW WINE TRIO
Throughout July and August, discover unique and interesting wines from Bordeaux, which our Head Sommelier has expertly paired with 3 rich cheeses from the Fromagerie Beillevaire.
The first is the 2021 Château Marjosse, Entre deux Mers – a fresh and complex blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Semillon and Muscadelle. This delicate and aromatic wine offers notes of citrus and hints of oak and apple, pairing perfectly with the fresh Fleur des Marais goat’s cheese.
Next, try the 2017 Château Rahoul, Graves – a medium-bodied, juicy yet balanced white from the Graves region, made from a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, paired harmoniously with the velvety Saint Simeon cow’s cheese.
Finally, sample the 2015 Château Lucas, Lussac Saint Emilion – an aromatic, fruity bouquet blending notes of raspberry, blackcurrant and plum, and hints of vanilla. This well-balanced, velvety wine is paired with the Fumaison, a bold cow’s cheese which has been smoked for 100 days.
