Join Lord Hicks for a musical romp through queer history. Armed with his instrument, rapier wit and lashings of sass,
his Lordship will recount the laws, legends and liaisons that have shaped what it is to be gay. Born with a silver spoon
in his mouth and educated on the mean streets of Soho, cabaret star Lord Hicks has travelled the world serenading
audiences from Paris to Reykjavik with classic anthems and original songs.
Sod’s Law is a show about gay British culture and the moments that have defined it.

About Lord Hicks
Following an unfortunate incident during the Regency, Lord Hicks fell through time and space only to end up in a
cabaret bar in Soho. But he had found his spiritual home. After striking up a relationship with producer Josh Cockcroft,
they began creating YouTube videos covering the best 21st century pop culture had to offer. After receiving hundreds
of thousands of views, coverage in both national and international press and the threat of a badly thought out lawsuit
from the Oxford Debating Union, Lord Hicks began performing on London’s cabaret circuit.
Since then, he’s come second in the televised Pride’s Got Talent, performed at venues such as the Victoria and Albert
Museum and the Ivy, as well alongside author Alan Holinghurst and empressaria extraordinaire Tricity Vogue. After a
critically-acclaimed run of Sod’s Law at the Edinburgh Fringe, he is now going on a national tour of ‘Take on Me’ with
Dante or Die Theatre, creators of the sell-out ‘User Not Found”.
