A Grade II listed early 19th century building, steeped in history, The Gun is located on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of the Docklands. The Gun takes its name from the cannon, fired to celebrate the opening of the West India Import Docks in 1802 and was allegedly home to Lord Nelson’s secret assignations with his lover Lady Emma Hamilton. The pub has been painstaking restored to its former glory, and with a multitude of stunningly refurbished private dining rooms and snug areas to discover, is the perfect destination to settle in with a bottle of fine wine and lose your self in the company of your guests.
The Gun serves a strictly British seasonal menu, with daily changing specials fresh from nearby Billingsgate market each morning. They are open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with the choice of their carefully crafted fine dining menus and their less formal pub menu for their hungry patrons. Retire to the riverside terrace with sweeping view of the River Thames and the O2 for the ideal spot for your pre-dinner glass of champagne.
This is a very popular destination in the area, be sure to book your table online so you don't miss out!

The ETM Group are known for owning some London finest venues. I’ve been lucky enough to dine with them once before, and it was a real treat; so as I stepped up to The Gun, I was already seriously excited. The Venue In all honesty, The Gun...

One of my favourite pubs in London, superb restaurant level food, stunning decor and buzzing atmosphere, in the summer it comes into its own with riverside views and a perfect sunday getaway. Love The Gun!
Excellent - best meal Ive had in a long time. Amazing views and lovely to eat out outside overlooking the river.
My absolute favourite pub in London. Great for a relaxed Sunday lunch or for a special occasion in their lovely private River Room. Really great views over the Thames and the food and service are both spot on!
A huuuuge sun deck looking right over to the 02! Shame it is so far east but if you are out that way and youre looking for a sun trap then this is it! Perfect for sunny lazy sunday afternoons...cider...pub grub and the river breeze. Perfect!
