About Le Kool Champagne
Robert Kool Bell is absolutely passionate about Champagne and always wanted his own Champagne with which to celebrate his life and music. For many years he reached out to Grand Cru vineyard owners and eventually, after much due diligence, agreed to work with the Paul Berthelot Champagne House founded in 1884. Arnaud and his wife Valerie represent the fifth generation of Berthelots to make Champagne from their 16 hectares of Premier Cru Pinot Noir and Grand Cru Chardonnay vineyards in Reims. The family only use only the grapes they grow in their own vineyards, allowing them to control every aspect of the grape growing and winemaking process. To ensure perfection Kool actually selected the Grand Cru vineyards from which the grapes to make his Champagne were to be carefully hand harvested. Only 100% rated vineyards can be classified as Grand Cru and less than 9% of all the vineyards in Champagne have this prestigious status. The result is complex and luxurious Champagnes of extraordinary quality. Voila – Le Kool Champagne was born!
