Crowd Company are an 8 piece band with a modern, original take on vintage funk and soul. Brimful of energy with catchy hooks / melodies and tight groove the band combine a retro Hammond organ based sound with a virtuoso horn section, soulful lead and harmony vocals.
Since their latest album release via the Proper Records label the band have received rave reviews and radio airplay across Europe, including being playlisted on the BBC Radio 6 Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show.
They are acclaimed as one of London’s leading bands of the genre and as well as headlining sellout shows at many of London’s leading venues the band recently were asked to open for acclaimed Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings artists Saun & Starr. And before then they opened for New Orleans funk legend George Porter Jr of The Meters on his UK tour, also sharing the stage with him to play some Meters classics.

Resolution 88 is an original funk jazz band led by Tom O’Grady, the keyboard player and MD (who has also been with The Myles Sanko band and Incognito) and was inspired by Herbie Hancock & the Headhunters and more recent ground-breaking artists such as Kaidi Tatham. Resolution 88’s music is based around the sound of the Fender Rhodes piano, complex changes and heavily syncopated funk / broken beats.
With critical acclaim, flourishing sales and a fast growing fan base Resolution 88 have performed in Spain, performed a sold-out headline show at Ronnie Scott’s, played at London and Cambridge Jazz Festivals, worked with guests including Soweto Kinch and Dennis Rollins, and toured in the UK supporting the Blackbyrds (Donald Byrd’s famous protégés), Medeski, Martin & Wood, Nels Cline and Snarky Puppy.
