The second of Cafe Chula's series of vegan supperclubs sees one of South London’s finest pop-up restaurants heading north of the river for an experimental dinner at Cafe Chula.
Ol'Factory’s main focus is using food as the medium to create belonging and inclusion, in a way that feeds both bodies and minds. The Conversation Salon will include guided discussions per course, with neighbours or across the table.
Ol'Factory say: "This is the beginning of nights that combine authentic conversation with new and inspiring information, nights that will give us a break from the workweek, find the shared voice, and really connect with like-minded individuals. We want to explore the lost art of conversation, because we know it can be as interesting and energising as the food itself!"
The menu includes:
1st course, tostada.
Field mushrooms, charred avocado, chia caviar, 3 algae seaweed, passionfruit, achiote oil.
2nd course, vegetable.
Cauliflower salsa macha, chayote salad with green mole, marjoram, black salt.
3rd course, tacos.
Jackfruit mole poblano, Yucatan pickled onion, queso fresco, orange rind, hibiscus salt.
&
Seitan chicken al pastor, pineapple puree, smoked garlic, baby radish, angel hair chilli. both with black bean frijoles.
4th course, dessert.
Raw chocolate tart, merlot poached pear, dehydrated ancho chilli, matcha sauce.
Tickets start at £30+ booking fee and includes a complementary welcome drink.
A bespoke cocktail pairing menu is also available for an additional £20pp.
