What they say:

Pomaio is bringing craft wine from independent, small wineries in Italy’s wine country all the way to Brick Lane in London. The sophisticated bar is made from dark oaks on a backdrop of clean white walls laden with art. The bar is stocked full of classic red and whites, but also includes oranges, made by leaving the skin on the grapes. Wines such as Podere di Pomaio’s Prosenna IGT Sangiovese 2011 populate the list, while the food menu is packed with Tuscan delicacies that compliment the drinks.

What we say:

For too long beer has dominated the craft drink market in East London and finally it could be deposed by Pomaio’s eclectic serving of Italian wines. The drinks being handpicked from independent vineyards guarantees both quality and authenticity, while the traditional dishes hailing from Tuscany complete the Italian experience. Dishes like bruschetta with truffle, quails egg and prosciutto wet the appetite with just the name while polenta served with stewed wild boar and chianina beef with spicy squid couscous completes it.
