Alongside some friends and amazing talent, alt-R&B artist KVN brings his favourite artists and collaborators to Ninety One Living Room on Friday 24th February! Come enjoy some vibes and hear some of LDN’s best upcoming new artists.
ABOUT KEEPVIBESNEAR
KeepVibesNear is an alternative R&B artist from East London. With a delivery that owes more to King Krule than to D'Angelo, KVN is different, he calls his music “noir R&B” due to the low melancholic vibes.
His mixture of lyricism and a sultry melodic sound makes for honest heartfelt listening. With the theme of troubled love running through the river of KVN's story he brings a refreshing vulnerability to his music.
ABOUT HARVEY WHYTE
Harvey Whyte is a rapper, self-taught pianist and producer from Hackney, London. His style spans multiple genres; from neo-soul, alternative RnB, hip hop and trap, to jazz and electronic.
It’s this versatility, alongside his skills as a producer, that’s put him firmly at the top of the collaborators’ list. In the past year he has worked alongside, Footsie, Greentea Peng, KeepVibesNear amongst others. Last year, Harvey and KeepVibesNear collaborated on two single releases, ‘Late Night Drive’ featuring Harvey Gunn & Frankie Stew and ‘Late Night Link’ featuring Luke RV.
Harvey is currently working on his debut album which he plans to release in 2023.
ABOUT JAY LEWN
The London-Born artist and producer is pioneering a new sound as he creates energetic tracks fused with R&B, Pop, Punk and Funk. Jay's ability to blend his pop-sensibilities with soulful grooves has continued to turn heads in the industry since his tasteful and critically acclaimed EP's 'LOVERBOY' & 'FORM 01'.
Jay is set to release his new single, JUPITER later this month featuring Sydney-based, indie-artist, Stevan. His follow-up mixtape 'SATELLITE KID' will drop early next year, a concept-record that is due to be is most ambitious, forward-thinking project to date. Beyond his solo endeavours, Jay is working with indie-artist Yellow Days on their joint, debut band project, Mr. Madonna.
ABOUT TALULAH RUBY
Canary Island-born, London-based singer, songwriter and producer, Talulah’s intention through music is to provoke vulnerability and sentience. Deeply influenced by the complexities of identity, sexuality and gender, their sound, described as raw, rousing and timeless has been said to have brought solace and meditation amongst chaos.
Influenced by the conceptual artists of our time; Solange, Dev Hynes, Rosalia & James Blake, the visionary aspect of her work spearheads the enchanting vocals that get straight to the point in bringing emotion to the forefront of the audience’s experience. A call to personal action.
The live sets will be followed by a DJ set from the talented Noé Silue.
