Thursdays at Ninety One Living Room are presented by Jazz Re:freshed. This Thursday, we are delighted to welcome artist, producer and musician MADELEINE to the Living Room stage.

About MADELEINE


An emerging player in the nu-jazz and UK soul scene, MADELEINE joins us for her EP launch at JazzRefreshed. MADELEINE is a singer, songwriter and producer taking influence from the progressive electronics of Flying Lotus and Kiefer, whilst showcasing the tuneful sensibilities of songwriters Lianne La Havas and Stevie Wonder. With support already from Jazz FM, BBC Introducing and WordPlay, she's also a celebrated session musician, touring the world as keyboardist for the likes of Arlo Parks, Poppy Ajudha and Kwaku Asante. The influences of her travels can be heard in her recent singles, providing snapshots of the sonics of late night drives across the USA set against naturalistic imagery and soulful, jazz-tinged songwriting.

Having grown up in a musical family, MADELEINE’s influences are rooted in jazz, soul, and fusion genres. Training classically on the piano and violin from the age of 7, she started her musical journey consuming an eclectic range of genres.

Watching her mother performing as a jazz pianist from an early age encouraged her to pursue a career as an instrumentalist, as well as a vocalist. Making a name for herself in the London Nu-Jazz Scene as a keys player, she began to expand her sound as a producer, and released her acclaimed debut EP ‘Colour Me’ in 2021. Since then she has toured worldwide with Arlo Parks, and MADELEINE is set to release her highly-anticipated project, ‘Sun Daughter’, on 21st April.

    Dining is a casual affair at Ninety One; drop in for a drink and order something at the bar, or book a more intimate table in the open plan dining area for a meal over a few hours. For larger groups we also have a private dining space seating up to 18 guests which comes with a personalised sound system and self-serve drinks fridge.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
