Jazz Lates is a series of intimate Jazz events that take place in our wonderful living room. On March 11th it is with great pleasure that we welcome Paris-based Underground Canopy to the living room stage for their debut London show.
ABOUT UNDERGROUND CANOPY
Emerging from endless improvisation sessions and re-interpreting their heroes, Paris-based Underground Canopy are prominent faces on the french jazz/hip hop scene. The group officially formed in 2016 after several years of countless jams and covers of the likes of Flying Lotus, Madlib and J. Dilla.
This hip-hop influence followed through into their first original body of work, Bluestaeb & S. Fidelity present Underground Canopy. Recorded and mixed by critically acclaimed Jakarta Records artists Bluestaeb and S. Fidelity in London, the six-piece's work drew critical acclaim for its fusion of hip-hop, neo-soul and jazz, which takes the listener on a journey into a world of original live music.
Fast-forward to 2022 and Underground Canopy come through with two big releases. Firstly EP Séquences in July, which included the fan favourite Feelm. This was followed up in November with the band's first mixtape, Uncut Gems. Just like a Rap mixtape, it contains mainly "freestyles", and acts as an appetizer while waiting for an album. This is UC exploring the rawest side of their sound.

5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
