ABOUT THE ARTIST
Critically-acclaimed Italian Jazz vocalist Irene Serra is a charismatic performer with a beautiful vocal style and assured stage presence. She sings a great repertoire of eclectic tunes from straight-ahead jazz standards, swinging blues and beautiful Brazilian songs to quirky pop arrangements.
She has played in high-profile venues in and around the UK, including the Barbican (with Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra), Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz Club, Union Chapel & King’s Place.
A thoughtful and intelligent musician she started studying jazz at the age of 16 at the Academy of Music in Milan and then moved to London to continue studying music at Goldsmiths College and then completing a Masters in Music Performance at the Guildhall School Of Music and Drama.
Her poised performances have already earned her much critical acclaim: she was one of the semi-finalists in The Brussels International Young Jazz Singer competition in 2008 and was a finalist at the Shure Montreux Jazz Competition in 2009.

Ninety One Living Room is a jazz club & late night bar in Shoreditch. We offer weekly live jazz and other music events with delicious food, beer and cocktails.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
