We are back with the first Jazz Lates of 2023! As a thank you for all your support in 2022, we open the new year with a special free entry Jazz Lates!

Jazz Lates is a series of intimate Jazz events that take place in our wonderful living room. On Saturday 7th January it is with great pleasure that we welcome Dominic J Marshall to the living room stage.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Marshall is many things; Pianist, composer, vocalist, beatmaker, producer. Since graduating from Amsterdam Conservatoire in 2012, Dominic has performed with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Jules Buckley & the Heritage Orchestra, Deva Mahal, Tawiah and Dorian Concept. He also co-wrote 'Lessons' with Cinematic Orchestra, one of the hits from their acclaimed new album To Believe.

Marshall's 2013 album Spirit Speech - ‘an excellent, imaginative and distinctive album that repays repeated listens’ (LondonJazzNews) led him to be unanimously selected by Jamie Cullum, Gilles Peterson and Jez Nelson to perform at BBC Introduces, Manchester Jazz Festival that year.

In 2015 Dominic became the pianist for British nu-jazz group The Cinematic Orchestra, with whom he has performed all over the world including at Montreux Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Tokyo SummerSonic, Brixton Academy and LA’s Walt Disney Concert Hall.

In 2020 Dominic released Nomad’s Land on Darker Than Wax - "a wonderfully crafted album from a gifted artist whose talents shine", "great late night ‘future jazz’ to take you into the wee hours" (Backseat Mafia).

His new album Skeleton Keys was featured in Wordplay Magazine and track 07, ‘Mermaid’, has already been played on BBC Radio 2’s The Jazz Show with Jamie Cullum and selected as track of the week on Jazz FM’s Late Night China Moses.
