Jazz Lates is a series of intimate Jazz events that take place in our wonderful living room. On Friday 19th June it is with great pleasure that we welcome Caravela to the living room stage.
"Caravela play original music that draws from the communal traditions of Lusophone countries like Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde, with an approach encompassing contemporary grooves and improvisation. After the release of their first self-titled EP and subsequent tours, the Portuguese bandleaders went on a trip to Bahia in Brazil, where they had the pleasure to meet and perform with some of their favourite and most inspiring artists, such as Caetano Veloso, Roberto Mendes and Peu Meurray. They were invited to perform at some of the most popular venues in Salvador, where they drafted a few of their songs for the new album. Shortly after returning to London, they were invited to support Gilberto Gil - one of their strongest and most iconic influences - at the Innervisions Festival 2019. In the meantime, the other band members have also been making waves with their own incredible projects as leaders, such as Bahla and Waaju.
Caravela will be teasing the audience with some of the new songs that will be featured on their new album to be released in September on None More Records. Their charismatic live show has earned a strong following thanks to a string of great performances at venues like the O2 Shepherd’s Bush (supporting G. Gil), BBC Late Proms and EFG London Jazz Festival, as well as three successful tours in the UK, Europe and Salvador da Bahia."

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
