Jazz Lates is a series of intimate Jazz events that take place in our wonderful living room. On Saturday 21st January it is with great pleasure that we welcome Binker Golding to the living room stage.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Binker Golding is a multi-award winning saxophonist & composer from London. He is known for his work with Binker & Moses, Elliot Galvin and Mr Jukes to name a few. Binker won the Jazz FM instrumentalist of the year award in 2020 & the MOBO award in 2015 with his band Binker & Moses.
Golding returns to the Living Room Stage hot off his second album “Dream like a Dogwood Wild Boy”. The record & live show are a captivating mix consisting of Golding’s best & most mature writing yet, brought to life by slide-guitar, a driving rhythm section & Golding’s trade-mark, hard-hitting tenor sound. With songs that sound like the wide-open landscapes of mid-western America, “Dogwood” is an album that has the blues, Americana, heart-land rock & whiskey running through its veins. It’s a work full of optimism & warmth which reflects on the passing of time, ageing, adulthood, love & death. It’s a road trip with a destination a thousand miles away.
