Famous local chef and the brains behind Secret Diners Club, Daniel Heffy, has opened a luxury restaurant in The Plaza. Sitting pretty on the ground floor, this joint boasts chic interiors including plush emerald green seating, contrasting pastel features and marble flooring - making it perfect for elevated evenings out.

Inspired by Heffy’s time working at Michelin star kitchens in Scandinavia, such as Frantzen and Adam/Albin, his new venture offers a 'travelled British' style of dining. Expect ingredients that are sourced from Birkenhead-based fishmonger Wards Fish, alongside tender meat from Caterite in Cockermouth. Whether you fancy beef tartare with tallow, almond and Wirral watercress or a lip-smacking duck egg creme brulee, this dining destination is sure to hit the spot.

You certainly won't go thirsty here either, as the drinks offering is extensive. From a mango and passionfruit daiquiri to an absinthe-laced corpse reviver and an exciting wine list, there are plenty of pours to get stuck into.
