An adult-only Christmas grotto has opened in 83 on Seel Street, with warm cocktails, festive food and snug seating.

There’s a Christmas miracle underway on Seel Street and I went along to see if Santa really does exist. After ringing the bell at number 83, I was led out of the cold, up the stairs, through a twinkling winter forest and in to an exclusive, adult-only Christmas Grotto. More grown-up than gaudy, this festive hideaway offered us a slice of Christmas sophistication with fur throws, leather couches and specially created cocktail menu made using only Diageo Reserve Brand spirits. 

Our ticket not only granted us access to this hidden yuletide drinking den, we also glugged a (rather strong) mulled wine upon arrival, munched a mince pie and even got a Christmas goodie bag filled with treats. Extra tidbits could also be purchased from the bar, including the likes of eggnog, smoked old fashioneds and even turkey sandwiches. The star on top of the Christmas tree was the hidden little touches, from the snowglobes scattered around through to the party-happy playlist. You’ve got until Christmas Eve to try it out so be quick, it’ll be here before you know it!

Miracle on Seel Street is open every evening from 5pm til late until 18th December when it will open at 1pm. Find it at 81 Seel Street, Liverpool, L1, until 24th December.
