The Loveable Rogue

Now Open

Well, it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a wild ride so far. And when the going gets tough? The tough get cheesy carbs. And luckily, you won’t have to look hard to find them, as this new Glasgow spot is promising cosy interiors and comfort food aplenty.

Taking over the Great Western Road space that was formerly The Hebridean, The Loveable Rogue will be a wonderland of all things warm and welcoming. Expect homely interiors, complete with exposed bricks, original beams and the kind of armchairs you can just melt into.

This place won’t just have you feeling warm and fuzzy on the outside though, oh no. The menu will showcase the best home-cooked Scottish food in the biz - from lobster mac and cheese to classic kiev with curried cauliflower. And on Sundays, it will be all about the roasts, so prepare yourself for vats of velvety gravy and mountains of golden tatties, washed down with a charming selection of fine wines.

While there will be space for 60 covers, Covid-19 restrictions will see this number limited, so be sure to book ahead the next time you’re in need of a plate-shaped pick-me-up.
