What they say:

Combining a bar, kitchen and live music venue in one, The Howlin' Wolf has taken Glasgow's City Centre by storm. The focus will be on live music, rock and roll, blues and soul, to deliver a slice of Mississippi music history, alongside a cracking selection of cocktails and soul food. Co-owner Paul Bright comments that "the bar is named after blues singer Howlin' Wolf, so we took that as out starting point ... no matter who you're listening to just now, of a certain ilk, you can trace it back to blues, and I suppose that's the main theme".

What we say:

A darn cool opening on Bath Street, The Howlin' Wolf is fuelled by rock 'n' roll, tall tales and homemade food just like Ma makes. Sample the delights of their extensive beer and cocktail offering, alongside a hearty portion of blues, soul and an all round helping of Southern charm. Sip on the likes of Houston Stackhouse, Memphis Slim and Muddy Waters, or knock back the signature Howlin' Wolf, which takes the form of a large spiced rum Cuba Libre with a Guinness head. Whisky drinkers can enjoy the likes of the Bumble Bee Slim features Evan Williams Honey Bourbon, Tia Maria and milk, shaken and strained over ice.
