What they say:

Rick's has long held a place in our Edinburgh hearts, being one of the first places in the city to serve proper cocktails. Now, its owners, Montpeliers, have decided it's time to try something new; Rabble is the result. The Frederick Street spot aims to be combine luxe with rough as marble tops and a brass bar are juxtaposed by simple plywood walls. With rooms, a restaurant and bar, Rabble is a place to while away hours, and even a night, made all the more easy with their beer that is stored in tanks imported from the USA for a 'just brewed' taste.

What we say:

We loved Rick's but we have a feeling we're going to love Rabble even more. The downstairs bar has been transformed into an incredible light and airy space with lots of white and blues, plenty of plants and amazing lighting giving a fresh air feel. The drinks focus on beer and gin along with a selection of cocktails. Food has had a similar shake-up as a robata grill has been imported from France to cook local Scottish delicacies such as oysters and Highland steaks. Open from 8am for breakfast and until 1am, it looks like we're going to spend most of our day at Rabble.
