Blossom Trees & Pretty Cocktails: A Japanese Garden Pop-Up Has Arrived In Edinburgh

Tigerlily Edinburgh Suntory Garden | DesignMyNight

Be transported to East Asia with this bar's gorgeous get-up.

Looking for somewhere striking to enjoy a tipple or two? We've got just the thing. Introducing Tigerlily's Japanese-inspired garden, a pop-up in Edinburgh's city centre boasting limited edition drinks, fun events and more.

In collaboration with Suntory Roku Gin, the hotel, restaurant and bar has decked out its popular green room with serene cherry blossom trees, atmospheric lantern lights and plush velvet seating. Plus, there’s a creative menu to match; get stuck into stunning sips such as the sakura blossom spritz, a heady combo of Roku gin, cherry blossom, ume plum, yuzu and white tea soda. Not just a treat for the taste buds, this pretty pink drink is garnished with a cute tuft of candy floss – you’ll no doubt see it on your Instagram feed in days to come.

There’s also a brilliant roster of exciting events on the go, from cocktail masterclasses with House of Suntory’s James Bowker, to cherry blossom wreath-making sessions held by local florist Wild. On top of that? This is one seriously swish spot to indulge in a dainty afternoon tea, which includes tasty finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and a mouthwatering array of sweet treats.

You can find this Japanese-inspired garden at Tigerlily, 125 George Street, EH2 4JN until mid-June. Looking for more unique watering holes? Check out other cool and quirky bars in Edinburgh here.
