Wigwams, woodland creatures, fire pits and pop-up bars are taking over Festival Square for a Cocktail Forest.

If the return of Edinburgh Cocktail Week wasn't enough to have you wishing this lacklustre summer away, then this latest info-drop from the festival is about to take that autumn excitement up a notch. 

Cocktails may not grow on trees, but they're coming in forest form this October as Festival Square's Cocktail Week makeover will be decking the place out woodland-style. Get your sip on underneath a leafy canopy as bars pop-up across the forest floor and wigwams, giant toadstools and mythical creatures materialise throughout the installation. And you won't have to worry about that less than forgiving autumn chill as they'll be stoking the fire-pits so you've got something warm to huddle around.
