The annual festival takes place on the third Thursday of November, celebrating the arrival of this year's freshly fermented Beaujolais Nouveau wine (originating from Burgundy). In France, this is traditionally celebrated with a five-day festival of fireworks, music and, of course, plenty of tastings. And Wales? Well, it's just as big, with cities such as Swansea and Cardiff hosting parties, events and so on to mark the big day.

Celebrate Beaujolais Day at Cosy Club Cardiff Bay and their city centre location on Hills Street, where they're serving up a special three-course menu with a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau for £42.50 per person. There will also be live music from midday until 8pm to really set the scene for this spectacular day.
Head to The Ivy Cardiff on the 20th November 2025 and revel in the first pour of the season. Honouring the French festival, they'll be serving up a French-inspired two-course meal for £45 or three-course meal for £50 - complete with plenty of that vibrant, fruity Beaujolais Nouveau of course.
From 2pm until 5pm on the 20th November, Revolucion de Cuba will be hosting an unforgettable Beaujolais Day celebration. They'll be serving up a scrumptious seven-course tapas taster menu, complete with Beaujolais wine and a live band, with a DJ taking over after 5pm.
