You Can Now Dine In A Private Igloo Thanks To Cardiff Distillery

Cardiff Distillery Private Dining Igloos

These guys are trading in 2-metre spaced tables and flimsy plastic screens for something a little more luxe.

With socially distanced dining set to be a permanent fixture for the foreseeable future, Cardiff Distillery have decided to put their own stylish spin on the two metre rule with the creation of new private igloos.

Situated in the garden of the Cathedral Road restaurant, the chic bubbles will allow you and your loved ones the opportunity to eat, drink and make merry whilst staying safe. So what can you expect? Pods can be booked at four different times throughout the day, with the menu including a variety of classic breakfast dishes and brunch paninis, as well as wood-fired pizzas, arancini bites and mezze boards. They also have beers, wines and an impressive selection of cocktails and gins to wet your whistle, such as salted caramel espresso martinis, old fashioneds and Parma Violet gin slushes.

Now for the health and safety part. Depending on the time of your booking, you'll have free reign over the self-contained capsule for 2 to 3 hours, with spaces cleaned down in between sittings using a fogging machine. Doors are also kept open to ensure a good flow of air and orders can be made via an app.

In other words: isolated dining never looked so good.

Cardiff Distillery is located at 73 Cathedral Road, CF11 9HE. Dining pods are available from Tuesday to Sunday with the first sitting at 9am and last at 8pm. In need of some more inspo? Check out our guide to the best restaurants with outdoor seating here.
