**What We Do:**

Join us at The Secret Comedy Club in Brighton for the South Coast’s premier new comedy night! Hosted in the city’s friendliest, most inclusive independent venue, this is where professional comedians work on fresh material while up-and-coming acts bring their best, aiming to secure a spot at our weekend shows.

Each Wednesday, experience 7 fantastic acts in 3 lively sections with two breaks in between. Be part of the creative process with top UK comedy talent—where each set might be a knockout or a glorious misfire, but never boring!

This Wednesday our MC will be the talented Martin Warren, joined by comics Daniel Tizon, Dan James, Onojie Idemudia, Nick Bain, and Donatas Staneika.

Daniel Tizon is a comedian, writer, and podcast host, and was a Not So New Comedian Of The Year 2024 Finalist, and a Hastings Newcomer of the Year 2025 Finalist. 

Dan James is an award-winning writer, editor, content creator, and comedian known for turning even the toughest conversations into something unforgettable and unfiltered.

Onojie Idemudia is a rising force in UK comedy, known for sharp observational humor, fearless honesty, and turning everyday life into laugh-out-loud moments. A regular at venues like City Comedy Club, Stand & Deliver Comedy, and Comedy Freaks, Onojie has been a 3 time finalist in competitions like Beat the Blackout at Up The Creek , currently a quarter finalist at Leicester Square new comedian of the year and has twice triumphed in the notorious Big Belly Ding-Dong Gong Show. 

Nick Bain is a London-based comedian blending sharp wit and heartfelt humor. His comedy explores relationships, polyamory, and everyday life with a relatable twist. A rising talent, Nick leaves audiences laughing while reflecting on his unique perspective.

Donatas Staneika is an observational comedian who is making waves on the UK circuit. In his short comedy career, he was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2024, has won the notorious Blackout Gong show at Up The Creek, the Comedy Knockout at Backyard, and the Ding Dong Gong at Big Belly Comedy Club. He’s also a two-time Comedy Store King Gong finalist, reached the semi-final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny? 2023 competition, and made the final of the Max Turner Comedy Prize 2024. Currently, Donatas can be seen performing at some of the best clubs and pro-nights around the country.

Plus, with the promise of a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, it's sure to be a great night out for comedy lovers in Brighton. With such a diverse line-up and plenty of laughs guaranteed, it's an event not to be missed!"

Doors open at 7 pm, with laughs kicking off at 8 pm until around 10:30 pm.

CONCESSION TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE WITH VALID ID FOR THE FOLLOWING;

Students, NHS, Blue Light cardholders, Blue Badge holders and those receiving UC, JSA and Pension Credit.

PLEASE BE AWARE THESE TICKETS ARE FOR OUR NEW LOCATION IN THE SOUTH LANES IN BRIGHTON, NOT OUR PREVIOUS HOVE LOCATION.

DOORS OPEN AT 7PM. THE SHOW STARTS AT 8PM.

PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS. LAST ENTRY 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE SHOW STARTS.

This is a much more intimate experience than going to a big club so in order to keep it friendly and fun we run a no heckling policy at The Secret Comedy Club.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY IF YOU WANT TO CHOOSE WHERE TO SIT.

There's plenty of time to grab some food & drinks before the show begins if you arrive at least 30 minutes before your show starts.

We book top tier headliners from stage and TV such as Zoe Lyons (Mock The Week), Phil Kay (QI, Jonathan Ross, Viva Cabaret, Reeves & Mortimer, Russell Howard's Good News), Fin Taylor (BBC/Comedy Central), Colin Hoult (Derek/Life's Too Short) and the list goes on... Plus support from the best up and coming names on the UK comedy circuit. "The best small comedy club in Brighton & Hove" and the only regular comedy Saturday night in an independent venue. Run at Artista Cafe & Gallery: Gigs, Performances & Event Venue for Hire Brighton & Hove's top provider of comedy, music and performance art. You will be up close and personal (it IS cosy!) with funny folks from London and south coast at the most welcoming and friendly funny venue in Hove (actually). Remember, spaces are limited and we fill up quickly, so get here early  and have a drink served up with panache by Alex, chat with old and new friends and hang out in this very cool new art space/comedy club!

    Radu Isac has earned his dues on the stand-up circuit. Building a solid base of funny stories, observations and opinions, around uk culture clashes from the perspective of an immigrant, he's been here long enough to assimilate enough to point out hypocrisy yet still be self-depracating enough about current economic and political dumpster fires that nobody begrudges the four grand he suddenly had to pay for citizenship before Brexit. Funny man doing funny stuff in a mostly funny accent. Worth your time and money.
