John Pendal 'Monster' Brighton Fringe Festival

John Pendal: 'Monster' Brighton Fringe Festival 2019

"The top three things people feel shame about are sex, sexually transmitted diseases and bed bugs. Fortunately, I’ve never had bed bugs."

John's fourth solo show looks at sex, sexuality, shame and guilt.

Why would this shy Baptist boy from Watford be so full of shame? What’s the difference between shame and guilt? And what would our lives be like if we didn’t have shame?

"Monster" looks at sex, sexuality, shame and guilt.

Clip from the show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QEUZQzY-90

My first three shows “International Man of Leather”, “How to Escape from Stuff” and “We Are Family” went on to tour Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Edmonton, Fort Lauderdale, Melbourne and Rome.

Not what we were expecting but brilliantly funny. Open and honest that it was a work in progress but well on the way to a gem. Would deffinately recommend. Looking forward to telling people we saw him at a venue for 20 people when he's made it big!

Julie Jepson's Randomonium was an absolute riot and had the whole room in stitches from start to finish. It was a very warm inclusive experience with the audience feeling like we were in on the joke rather than just being told it. Julie is a born performer and naturally funny, her ad libs as amusing as the scripted material
