I'm a Brighton newbie, meaning it's only right to try out the best drinking and dining spots ASAP - right? As my list is growing ever longer, I figured that it's probably best to start somewhere that's been recommended to me by many Brightonians: The Mesmerist.
This gorgeous pub in the heart of The Lanes is well known for its live music, cocktails and delicious food. So I thought it was only right to try out their bottomless brunch, to see whether The Mesmerist ticks all the boxes.

Could this be the best bottomless brunch in Brighton?
DesignMyNight's Review Of The Mesmerist
The sun was shining and my friends had ventured down from the capital to spend a well-deserved weekend by the seaside. When we first got to The Mesmerist, we were all pleased for the much-needed shade as we sat in a lovely table spot by the giant windows overlooking Brighton Town Hall. It was the perfect spot to watch as happy couples were met by friends, family and far too much confetti as they happily strutted out of the town hall and down the road (probably for an overdue pint).
Brighton's entire vibe is cool and this place really reflects that. Think dark wooden furniture, fairy lights adorning the walls, maximalist wallpaper that's perfect for a pic and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. As soon as we sat down we were greeted by a wonderful server who happily explained the entire menu - which looked absolutely incredible. If you're a meat lover, then this ones for you. The menu was packed with beef brisket buns, fried chicken and smoked pork shoulder that all sounded absolutely delicious.
After much deliberation, we all opted for The L.B.T - a burger bun bursting with Nashville hot chicken, hickory maple bacon, baby gem lettuce, a hash brown and buttermilk and herb dip. And these guys do not skimp on portion sizes, these were huge. The chicken was juicy and also packed the perfect amount of punch.

It doesn't have to be summer to enjoy a fruity cocktail.
I was so impressed with the bottomless drinks selection, too. You could choose from five different cocktails, beer or bubbly which basically covers everything you could possibly want at a brunch. The cocktails came in giant jugs, meaning we could pour out our sips as the day went on without having to order four cocktails at once (dreamy). My friends chose the Aperol Spritz as their go to drink of choice, whereas I went for the Gin Berry Spritz. It was sweet, refreshing and washed my spicy chicken burger down a treat.
One of my favourite things about Brighton is that you're never too far away from a photo booth, and The Mesmerist is no exception. We popped in for a quick snap before heading back to the table to finish our delicious cocktail jugs.
Overall: The Mesmerist
The Mesmerist is one of the coolest places to visit in The Lanes. Not only does it do a banging brunch (which I will be doing again) but it's also one of the most welcoming spots in the city. The portion sizes are massive and the drinks are delicious; there's nothing about this place that I don't love.
