Bonsai Plant Kitchen

Description

Multi-award-winning and proudly plant-based, Bonsai Plant Kitchen is a Tokyo-inspired neighbourhood restaurant tucked away on Baker Street in Brighton. Known for its bold flavours and smoky aromas, everything here is cooked over a traditional bincho grill using premium Japanese charcoal, infusing each dish with that signature umami-rich BBQ character.

The menu is a vibrant celebration of South-East Asian street food, reimagined with Brighton’s playful spirit. Expect small plates like mushroom karaage, kimchi pancakes, and Mongolian “lamb” skewers, alongside cult favourites like their dirty rice and seasonal specials. It’s all 100% vegan, but even meat-eaters will be blown away by the depth of flavour.

Inside, the vibe is electric, think pink neon, Japanese murals, and a soundtrack that gets louder as the night goes on.

With a killer cocktail list, a buzzing open kitchen, and a reputation for being one of Brighton’s most exciting dining spots, Bonsai Plant Kitchen is a must-visit for foodies looking for something fresh, fiery, and unforgettable.
