Tis the Season, which means only one thing, it's time to party, #Brighton.
We're throwing a huge, FREE party for y'all, hosted by Brighton's very own Dave Peroni and headlined by Dr Syntax.
We got Phonetic and Bobbie Johnson on the line up with Nelson Navarro, and QM Records will be behind the decks 'til 3am.
Dr Syntax has been a well-known name in the UK Hip Hop scene since he appeared on Foreign Beggars’‘Asylum Speakers’ album in 2004. Since then he has released numerous albums including his classic 2007 debut 'Self Taught', and 'Scene Stealers', his 2008 collaboration with Ed Skrein (Deadpool/Game Of Thrones) as Skreintax. More recently, his name has been synonymous with acclaimed Manchester band The Mouse Outfit. He appeared on their albums 'Escape Music' and 'Step Steadier', and has toured with them relentlessly across the UK and Europe since 2012.
Dave Peroni has been a stalwart in the Brighton Hip Hop scene for a decade and change. A decorated MC, DJ and host of innumerable parties, Big Dave has survived many near death experiences without so much as a scratch. Preparing to drop three new projects in 2018 having re-upped and changed name (f.k.a. Enlish), Dave specialises in making people dance and melting microphones, speakers and ears with his own inimitable brand of Delicious heat, or as the French call it, ‘Chaleur délicieuse’.
It's been just over a year since Bobbie Johnson released her 'You & I' EP and she's since performed at The Great Escape Festival, Boomtown and is joining Rum Committee later this month on the line-up for a new hip-hop night, headlined by P Money.
Phonetic just landed back in Brighton after supporting the one and only Rag’n’Bone Man on his Overproof tour. With an ever growing list of collaborative projects, she is the future of UK Hip Hop.
