We will be linocut printmaking winter themed/festive cards to impress our friends and family this December! This workshop is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners - no experience in printmaking, art or drawing necessary! For the more experienced printmakers, you will have the opportunity to develop your practice with 1:1 support in an inspirational environment. Come and join us for this low-pressure, sociable and fun workshop.
No drawing experience needed as designs can be incredibly simple, yet very effective once printed. A relaxing and creative way to spend your Tuesday evening. Drinks, snacks and pizzas can be purchased from the bar downstairs.
You will be making your own single-colour relief prints using artists’ lino. Linocut, a derivative of woodcut, is a printmaking process in which images are carved from a piece of linoleum (think kitchen floor tiles). Once the lino has been carved, it is coated with ink from a roller and pressed onto paper to create images, in this case using an adapted printing press. There will also be opportunities to try hand printing. This is a printing process you can easily continue at home.
All materials are provided and you will be able to take home at least 3 prints of your image, along with your carved lino which you can re-use for more prints. The size of the lino used is 100x150mm.

We strive to make our workshops as accessible as possible. Please get in touch if you have any questions or if there are any adaptations you need and we will do our best to accommodate.
The Malborough has gender neutral toilets. The workshop will take place in the green room upstairs which unfortunately isn't wheelchair accessible and is up a flight of stairs. However we will have future workshops in a fully accessible venue so please follow up for further workshops or get in touch as we will add you to the mailing list.

About us:
Reanna and Dee met through the DIY art community and formed Lino Print Club with the intention of making the art of printmaking accessible to everyone. Printmaking is often expensive and exclusive with long day workshops. We offer affordable and shorter sessions that are low pressure and provide you with the skills to continue to print at home (or with us!) if you catch the printing bug.
We both have invisible disabilities, are mental health aware and lgbtq+ friendly.
