Venture beyond the popular foodie spots like Digbeth and Summer Row, and you just might find Sky By The Water. Taking the reigns from Resorts World's Sky Bar, the multi-million-pound rooftop venue compromises of a restaurant, bar and secret garden featuring covered pods.

With stunning views and a contemporary menu centred on British and French cooking, this one's sure to make a statement. Head chef Aaron Darnley has crafted a menu with everything from slow-cooked ox cheek and seared scallops to roast dinners at the weekend and champagne-laced afternoon teas. Desserts are just as mouthwatering, with a pastry team headed up by Bake Off: The Professionals finalist Darryl Collins.

Drinks lean towards the fruity flavours, with a Banana Mai Tai and Applepolitan taking centre stage alongside a whole section of 'drinkable desserts.' If that's not your thing, then there's a list of perfect serve G&Ts alongside a wide selection of wine and fizz.
