NEWS: Wahaca will no longer be opening in Birmingham.

Setting up shop just minutes from St Philip’s Cathedral, Wahaca will be bringing Mexican market food to Temple Street in Birmingham. With venues all around London and the rest of the country, Wahaca has become synonymous with delicious street food – from small sharing plates like tacos and quesadillas to bigger dishes, like burritos and enchiladas – all in a vibrant, fun setting. Washing it down is a series of tequilas, cocktails and mocktails.

What we say:

After years of making a name for themselves in the capital, Wahaca is finally expanding into the country’s second city. Birmingham has very few Mexican restaurants, so the addition of a brand like Wahaca in the city will be a welcome change. What’s more is that they pride themselves on using ethically sourced ingredients, from their food coming from co-operative farms that support Mexican farmers to buying from smaller tequila companies to help local businesses. So you can eat and drink there with a clean conscience.
