What they say:
Once upon a time Gino D’Acampo was best known for eating balls and killing rats in a jungle in Australia. Now, after star-making appearances on This Morning and Celebrity Juice, he’s basically a household name, which is one of the reasons why people just can’t get enough of his ‘My Restaurant’ venues. Choosing Birmingham for his next site, he’ll set up shop in Temple Row with an impressive 8000sq ft, 200-seater venue spread across two floors. Not only will it feature a prosecco, deli, and ice cream bar, but a games room where people can enjoy ‘posh bowling’. We’ll wait for Gino to explain that one.
What we say:
The ethos behind the My Restaurant brand is to create sleek and lively hubs for people to socialise and feast on authentic Italian food. The menu is crafted using seasonal ingredients, with a classic mix of pizzas, pasta and risotto. But there’s also a hearty selection of main dishes, including Italian style sausages with braised lentils and pancetta, as well as cod Napoletana with salami, cherry tomatoes and rosemary. Meanwhile, you can drink on a plentiful selection of wine, Italian cocktails, and his staple - prosecco.
