OFM Awards Honour Some of Birmingham's Best Bars

Joined by an astute selection of regional judges including the likes of Jay Rayner, Tom Kerridge and Grace Dent (trust us, they know good grub when they gobble it) the UK's best bars, restaurants and food bloggers were put under scrutiny this year as the Observer Food Monthly Awards rolled on into town. Reaching dashing double digits as the awards celebrate their 10th year, The OFM Awards judged the palpable 'Best Cheap Eats' to the delectably digital 'Best Food Blog' with some Brum favourites to be found in and amongst the nominations.

The Plough churn out a mean meaty meal on any given occasion thanks to their gastro classics and hearty flavours.

Sweeping the deck when it came to a Sunday lunch in Birmingham thanks to their selection of international flavours and palate indulging roasts, The Red Lion, The Plough and The Lord Clifden came up trumps nabbing three out of four spaces in the Midlands category. But hold your thirsty horses, there's more! Nominated yet again, The Lord Clifden and The Plough dominated the Best Place to Drink Midlands category.

Now sadly, our Birmingham bars didn't take home any gongs, but to be compared to some of the best venues in the Midlands and the UK, it's safe to say that we're oh so proud of you guys! So how's about it? Let's have a toast to the Birmingham roast and more!
