Harborne hangout launches 60-strong whisky list and pop up bar

With a glittering collection of bottles sourced from countries as far afield as Japan, Australia, India and America, the sun never sets on The Plough’s fresh new whisky list.

It’s a 60-strong menu which can count a number of global award-winners in its ranks. What's more, in the Burgundy Cask Finish, Miltonduff Batch 1 Single Malt and the Milford 15-year old malt, the list boasts three varieties that you can’t get your mitts on anywhere else in the UK. The list goes live on Monday 15th December, and shots will cost anything between £3.30 and £15.

Roasted chestnuts to start, artisan whiskies as a main and mulled wine to finish. Cheers!

Once you’ve got your winter-warming whisky fix, it’s over to the swish new “Night Jar Winter Bar” outside. Yep you read correctly - we’re encouraging you to head outside - but with an open fire, blankets and hot water bottles aplenty, you’re free to leave the thermals at home.

The bar is central Birmingham’s new go-to space for a festive bevvie, with drinks like the Cinnamon Hot Chocolate with Orange Liqueur, Spiced Pineapple with Rum and Marmalade Cider with Bourbon all looking like absolute must-tries. What about the mulled wine though? Relax, you can enjoy a splash of that too, and there’s complimentary roasted chestnuts to wrap up this cracker of a Christmas package.
