Eat, Pray And Love: Why This Halal Festival Is A Must For Birmingham Foodies

The Halal Food Festival Birmingham | DesignMyNight

Need ideas for iftar time, Birmingham? You're in the right place...

Set your alarms, as the countdown to The Halal Food Festival is officially on. Taking over the NEC Birmingham this May bank holiday and following successful stints in Manchester, this lip-smacking weekender will see over 20,000 gastronomes come together for a feast of epic proportions.

Now, that’s a lot of bellies to fill... But 200+ vendors, like Cleopatra’s Kitchen, Malaysian Street Food and Filthy Wings, will satisfy even the hungriest of folk with everything from hot dogs and juicy halal meats to chocolate desserts. You’ll also learn tricks of the trade at live cooking demonstrations including Homemade Savouries By Sara, covering cuisines as far away as Africa and Asia.

Adding to an already incredible atmosphere, there will be showcases and artisan markets promising the best of Islamic culture: think modest wear, beauty and jewellery, not forgetting wellness or health. This year will also see the partnership continue with Islamic Relief UK and you’ll be able to discover how you can support.

After Ramadan? Here's where you should go next.

The Halal Food Festival is happening at the NEC from the 27th to the 28th of May. Hungry? Uncover more halal restaurants in Birmingham here and sign up for our weekly Brummie newsletter.
