What they say:
The Wolf is hoping to revitalise Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter with minimalist décor and a focus on quality drinks. The venue plans on being a no-nonsense affair, with contemporary wooden tables and chairs, surrounded by grey walls and ceiling next to a walnut floor. Graffiti-style murals spice up the interior, dedicated to celebrity legends like Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and David Beckham. Their main focus is supplying locally-sourced, quality drinks with a limited selection of food to nibble on.
What we say:
The Wolf’s back-to-basics approach to the bar means they have more time to focus on what truly matters: good drinks. The minimalist appeal makes it a universally accessible place to drink, but the venue’s owners are keen to get everyone in the bar: from dog-walkers, to families, to people who just want a coffee and to use the wifi. Along with their tasty coffee, they offer craft ales and bottled bears, with four rotated on the draught. While they don’t have a kitchen, the venue serves sandwiches, pies and pastries, as well as cheese and charcuterie boards.
